Ahmadreza Nabizadeh is a singer-songwriter who has enriched the Persian community with his musical contributions for many years. Since the age of 13, classical guitar was his muse and an introduction to traditional Persian instruments. Ahmadreza’s career began in Iran, where he recorded his first hit album,“Amoon Az Deleh Mo” with CBS in 1975 which is a favorite among his fans today.
His next album recorded in the U.S. in 1989, “Marjangeh” was a celebration of various Persian folk music with its unforgettable lyrics and timeless melodies. Since Ahmadreza arrived in the U.S., his performances include cultural events at universities across the country.
In 19995, he recordedhis debut pop album, “Yeroozi” or “Someday”. This album is filled with a variety of unique tunes, featuring the hit songs “Vaseh Man Gol Naferest” and “Azizam”. The latter continues to represent an anthem of hope for many and continually airs on Persian radio and TV stations to this day.
His next album, “Raghseh Mantab” or “Moon Dance” was released in 1999. This finely crafted album showcases the true artistry of his music as captured in the remarkable melodies, beautiful arrangements and lyrics of these songs. The music truly comes alive through his distinctive baritone voice.
His next album was released in 2000 titled “Parvaz Dar Ghafas” or “Flying in the Cage”. This truly revolutionary album changed the face of Persian Pop music with an innovative and distinct arrangement of the songs. These songs truly show the depth and multi-facets of Ahmadreza’s music.
Applying his art to theater, Ahmadreza wrote the score for the play “Prometheus in Evin”. This play was written by Iraj Jannatie Ataie and toured many cities in the winter of 2001. Ahmadreza performed the score live and revived the role of Prometheus in each show of the production. He also produced and released a single of the score to this production.
His other album entitled “Tab-e- Kavir” or “Desert Fever” was unleashed on the market in 2004. Here Ahmadreza incorporates a new style inspired by the music of his hometown, Abadan.
In October 2010, Ahmadreza Nabizadeh became the founding recording artist for the Persian music division of Pasargad Productions. He represented the company and performed live on Mehregan cultural festivals and fundraisers. He started working on his album and Pasagard produced the Album “Saa’ateh Pandge” or “Five O’Clock” with him directly in charge of the music and video production as the executive producer for this popular project. The album was released in 2013 in which, he collaborated with different lyricists, musicians and composers led by Persian Pop Music Legend Andranik “Ando” who has composed and arranged majority of the songs for this masterpiece which is a compilation of romantic ballads.
On April 12th of 2014, the Saban Theater in Beverly Hills. Los Angeles will host Ahmadreza Nabizadeh’s highly anticipated return to the stage. He will be accompanied by his 24-piece orchestra led by musical director, Roma Kanyon."
